I was at a meeting of local business women a couple of weeks ago and spoke to someone who`s passionate about Bikram yoga. She told me she`d made a commitment to go to classes for 100 consecutive days and how it had taken away her resistance because there was no longer any choice - no internal dialogue about should I or shouldn`t I practice today. Also how daily life had to be adjusted to fit around yoga, rather than the other way around.

It inspired me to look again at where my commitment - and reluctance - lies and as a result I`m taking part in Yoga Aid at The Yoga Show. 108 sun salutations in 2 hours and well outside my comfort zone, it`s refreshed my practice and encouraged me to explore what it is that keeps me on (and off!) the mat.
