MIND-BODY AWARENESS TRAINING

Mind-body awareness for people who work with people!

This training is based on the principles of yoga and mindfulness, exploring the relationships between what we do, how we are and the effects this has on our life and those we come into contact with, especially in the workplace. It consists of two workshops of 2 - the first focussing on self and the second exploring how our learning applies to our relationships.

Session 1
Participants are introduced to a variety of exercises and techniques to develop self-awareness. This is a practical and interactive exploration of how environmental factors combined with our physical and mental habits can affect our state of mind.

Session 2
We examine how this self-awareness allows us to be clear, present and effective in our interactions with others and how it can be applied to the dynamics of working relationships

Both sessions are structured around the experience and needs of those attending.

YOGA IN ACTION - why stretch when you can reach?

Yoga in Action is part of the Off the Mat, Into the World initiative, founded by Seane Corn, Hala Khouri and Suzanne Sterling. This heartfelt, practical programme is a grassroots movement, building community around yoga and service, developing relationships with other yogis and activists in your local area and collaborating on creating real change.

The weekend intensive training allows you to embark on a transformational process; a journey of self-inquiry with the support of a small group of peers, that inspires conscious and sustainable activism and engages you with your community to make positive change in your world. The programme brings together physical yoga practice, meditation, experiential exercises, visualization, process work and ritual, combined with the functional tools of communication, organizing and collaborating. Participants will acquire the skills to show up in the world more embodied, empowered and motivated so that their visions for change can become a reality.
